Located in Woodland Hall Room 103, the Susan Bergman Gurrentz ’56 Art Gallery houses Chatham’s African art collection and functions as both an exhibition space and a place for interactive learning. The gallery gives students hands-on experience in curating, displaying their own work, and hosting shows featuring local Pittsburgh artists. It also exhibits work by international, national, and local artists, allowing students to engage directly with significant artworks and historical artifacts. Features include light-blocking, projection-capable curtains; two movable modular walls for flexible installations; and upgraded flooring that improves acoustics and comfort during events.
